Engagement ~ Amy & Derek

Monday was a gorgeous day & I got to spend a few hours with an equally gorgeous couple.  Amy & Derek met me at Pike Place Market for some fun & then we headed down to Pioneer Square.  Since it was a holiday, there weren’t a lot of people on the street so it felt as if we had the cobble stones all to ourselves.  We then hopped in the car to catch the sun dropping over on Alki beach.  I really appreciate Derek’s humor - the sun was so bright in his eyes that it made them water - I teased him about being “all choked up” & snapped a bunch of him wiping away the tears.  Thanks for a super fun day you guys - here are just a few of my faves from the day…

~Heather & Reid ~

Last Sunday, I met Heather & Reid for their engagement session at the University of Washington.  Reid went to the UW, so we made sure that we took some of their photos near the Roberts Building (his old stomping grounds).  Although a little nervous at first, this couple soon relaxed and were willing to be goofy with each other and to let the “PDA” flow freely!  After a nice walk around campus, we headed over to Gasworks Park.  The park was packed, but the day was SO gorgeous.  As the sun began to set, I asked if we could make a run down to Golden Gardens to play with some flare….we got great flare and Heather & Reid are an awesome couple to work with - can’t wait ’till your wedding next year you guys!

~ Melissa & Derrick ~

Spending Labor Day with Melissa & Derrick wasn’t laborious at all - it was great fun taking some ‘engagement’ and ‘trash the dress’ photos with them yesterday.  Although they were married back in June, they didn’t have the e-session they had wanted and Melissa was totally willing to take her dress on an adventure for me.  We started our day near the Ballard Locks, looking for some graffiti but found the best wall down in the SODO district.  The sun dropped down before we made it back to Discovery park, but we decided to play a little on the sand anyway until Melissa just got too cold and it was getting too dark.  Thanks for being such great ’sports’ M & D - and congrats again your new life together!
