i see engagements ~ Aaron & Jamie

Monday felt like the first and best day of summer, giving me a great reminder of why I love Seattle!  I met Jamie & Aaron down at the Kirkland waterfront, where about 1 million other people decided to come enjoy the sunshine.  We quickly decided to hop in the car to find a waterfront area that wasn’t quite so crowded.  We ended up near Bastyr University at Denny Park - the park has lots of lawn, a small beach and a gorgeous view of the mountain.  This couple is so sweet to each other - I love the way Aaron looks at Jamie and how she seems to feel so safe in his arms.  I’m really looking forward to their wedding next month - we had a ton of fun together.  Here are just a few of my faves from our afternoon…

i see engagements ~ Marcela & Antonio

Sunday’s weather was gorgeous - we couldn’t have asked for a yummier day.  I met Marcela & Antonio at the UW (Marcela’s alma mater) - they brought their sweet pup Maya to get in on some of the fun.  What a cutie - she loves her mama & papa so much that she actually climbed one of the trees trying to get up there with them!  After laying around in the grass for awhile, we headed into the Suzzallo library for a couple shots in the super cool (and quiet) study hall.  We then hopped in the car and went on a whirlwind tour of the SODO district.  We ended up behind the Franz bakery where we enjoyed an old train, grassy train tracks and the smell of baking bread - yum!  Lastly, we cruised up to Golden Gardens where we caught the prettiest colors in the sky.  I really had a ton of fun with this couple and honestly had the toughest time choosing which ones to post - here are a bunch of my faves…

i see the belly ~ The Gordons

Nicole and I have been chatting for months about her growing belly bump (they call it ‘bub’) and I was SO excited to get to meet her and Gordo.  They are from Australia and may not live here in Seattle much longer, so they wanted to get some shots with the needle and the skyline.  We started our day in their home with their sweet pup and then headed downtown.  Saturday was supposed to be sunny and warm - we had dry skies, but it was downright cold at the Seattle Center and Alki beach.  Nicole and Gordo braved the wind like champs though!  I can’t wait to meet their ‘bub’ (only 5 more weeks!) and am so glad to have met these new friends.  The bare belly shots are just for them, but here are some of my other faves from the day…

i see beauty ~ C’s boudoir session

C called me a few months ago wanting to plan a boudoir session for her hubby’s upcoming birthday - we met Friday and had so much fun together!  Her apartment had such great light coming in and she was brave enough to even venture outside for awhile (at least it seemed like none of the neighbors were around).  Thanks for letting me share some of my faves C - can’t wait to hear your thoughts!  ***If you’re checking this out at work, just know that there is some booty with the beauty here!***

i see my monkey…

I know I’ve said it a zillion times before, but I really never knew what love was until I met her.  We played in the yard today and had big fun.

Engagement ~ Desiree & Justin

Desiree & Justin are so amazing with each other - calm, loving, gentle…I felt so mellow with them.  The day was grey, but we had a lot of fun playing around the UW and the arboretum.  I think my favorite moment was when Justin started to spin while holding Desiree and she let her arms go.  Can’t wait ’till your day in May you guys - here are some of my faves from the day…

Engagement ~ Oani & Dean

Saturday was really beautiful!  I woke up expecting the rain/yuck that we’d been having and was so pleased to see the sun!  I met Oani & Dean down at the Ballard Locks - we walked around the lawns and they danced down the little street there.  We then piled in the car and headed down to the arboretum and spent a good chunk of time at the Japanese Garden.  Not much is in bloom there yet, but what a beautiful place and what a gorgeous day!  We ended our day at the Jolly Roger Taproom back in Ballard, but the place was so crowded that we decided to call it a night.  I’m going to take that ‘rain check’ on having a drink with them soon!  Oani and Dean are such a sweet couple - I’m really looking forward to their big day in October.  Here are a few of my faves from the day…

Wedding ~ Samantha & Ryan ~ Maple Valley CC

It rained so hard on Saturday, but nothing could dampen Sam & Ryan’s happiness and excitement for their big day.  This was such an emotional family - I was so touched how Ryan seemed to cry as much as Samantha and every time I saw one of their moms start to cry, it was hard not to just point my camera right at them.  Reverend Ray was great as always,  Sam’s daughter was so ready to be the flower girl and Ryan’s grandpa made such a fun and yummy cake.  The party was hopping - I think that almost everyone jumped in for the electric slide!  I loved the matching converse on the men and Ryan was a great sport trying to blow smoke rings for me (doesn’t it look like a flamingo rising from his mouth?)  Thanks so much for a super fun night you guys - here are a few of my faves!
